University of Toronto Mississauga Department: UTM: Economics Campus:University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) The Department of Economics at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) invites applications for up to two full-time tenure stream positions in Economics. D. degree in Economics or in a related area with a focus in Economics by the time of appointment, or shortly thereafter, with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching. While other candidates will be considered, we have a special interest for those who specialize in Financial Economics, International Trade, or Macroeconomics. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate courses in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto Mississauga and will also become a full member of the Graduate Department of Economics of the University of Toronto, undertaking graduate teaching and supervision of doctoral students at the St. Candidates must provide evidence of research excellence which can be demonstrated by an innovative job market paper with a significant contribution to the literature, strong endorsements from referees of high standing, the submitted research statement, high quality working papers, a record of publications in top-ranked and field relevant journals or forthcoming publications meeting high international standards, presentations at significant conferences, awards and accolades. Evidence of excellence in teaching will be provided through teaching accomplishments, the teaching dossier (with required materials outlined below) submitted as part of the application, or other evidence of superior performance in teaching-related activities submitted as part of the application,as well as strong letters of reference. Other teaching-related activities can include performance as a teaching assistant or course instructor, experience leading successful workshops or seminars, student mentorship, or excellent conference presentations or posters.
