Senior Project Manager

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an accomplished Senior Project Manager to oversee and facilitate our most significant initiatives, or to adeptly manage multiple smaller projects concurrently. This pivotal role offers a vibrant and forward-looking work environment. As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate across our comprehensive portfolio, which includes planning, executing, and evaluating major projects nationwide.

Your role will be integral to NUQO's mission of fostering innovation, leadership, and a supportive culture that nurtures the growth of every team member.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership in Construction: Work closely with the Senior Leadership to develop construction strategies that align with NUQO's vision. Use your experience to refine and enact construction methodologies and best practices. Ensure the seamless execution of projects, adhering strictly to quality, budget, and timeline targets.

Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain solid relationships with clients and partners. Engage with subcontractors, suppliers, authorities, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects meet collaborative goals.

Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance: Enforce Nuqo quality and safety standards, aligning with regulations and best industry practices. Instigate safety programs and standards, and advocate for excellence and continual advancement in construction techniques.

Fiscal Oversight: Manage budgets with precision, ensuring efficient cost estimation and financial monitoring across the project lifespan. Analyze and implement cost-effective measures while maintaining project financial objectives.

Growth and Business Development: Identify and seize opportunities for growth. Build and maintain relationships that highlight NUQO's strengths and market position. Formulate strategies to enhance the company's reach and business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of senior project management experience in construction
  • A minimum of 5 years as a project coordinator
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent work experience.
  • A demonstrable track record working oncomplex construction projects, specifically in residential or multi-family buildings.
  • Proven experience supporting strategic planning, particularly in the construction industry.
  • Strong focus on team building and becoming a leader, with the ability to inspire and motivate more junior team members.
  • Expert knowledge in construction methodologies and practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to align team efforts with company goals, emphasizing a people-first culture.
  • Expert knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven expertise in financial management, cost control, and operational optimization.
  • A deep-seated commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainable construction practices.
  • Experience in collaborating with Indigenous communities and a profound respect for Indigenous cultures and traditions is valued.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada is a requirement.

Expected Salary

  • $120,000 - $150,000 - Salary dependent on experience
  • 3 weeks paid vacation.
