Position: Procurement Specialist

Reports to: Procurement Manager

Role Summary:
This compensation range is (depending on experience): $52,000.00 to 55,000.00

Acme Fire & Safety's Corporate/ Head Office is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist ("AR Specialist") who has superior customer service and communication skills, and possesses a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. The AR Specialist is primarily responsible for receivable collections, accounts receivable reconciliation, applying customer payments, and weekly reporting of receivables.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Manage all aspects of purchases from requisition to delivery including initiating, issuing and administering Purchase Orders through predetermined procedures, and monitoring deliveries and invoices.

Monitor and track all inventory items to maintain accurate records.

Analyse and forecast demand from past and current purchases and sales data for multiple branches in BC and Alberta.

Develop and maintain supplier contracts and relationships, acting as an interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Collaborate with Service Co-ordinators, Warehouse, Sales and Accounts teams on a day-to-day basis.

Support regional strategic sourcing initiatives and new projects.

Actively seek, document and implement cost optimization strategies, contributing to the team's overall cost savings goals.

Identify areas of supply risk, communicate and escalate appropriately.

Review, prepare, and send purchase orders to vendors ensuring prices and terms are accurate.

Monitor price increases and update changes in the ERP as necessary.

Provide support in preparing ad-hoc reporting and data analysis on an as-needed basis.

Proactively improving existing processes to increase overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Report and work closely with Procurement Manager.

Qualification:

Graduation with a specialization in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.

Minimum 2 year work experience, or a combined academic and work experience from a similar background.

Demonstrable knowledge of procurement functions, procedures, and practices preferable gained from a private sector.

Understanding of sourcing techniques, supplier relationship management, contract management, business planning/improvement processes.

Dedicated team player with well-developed interpersonal skills and has ability to manage change and conflict, tactically manage workload, multi-task, and work independently.

Experience working in a Fire and Protection domain is a plus but not mandatory.

Collaborative, Reliable, and supportive attitude.

Knowledge of Quickbooks, ServiceTrade, MS Excel, MS Teams, Google Sheets, and Outlook.

General construction knowledge or inclination to learn about the industry

High degree of attention to detail
