Whether it be in front of the camera, on air, online or behind the scenes, you would be joining a team that thrives on making connections and telling stories that are important to Canadians.As Regional Director, Radio-Canada Québec, you are responsible for setting the region's strategic direction and objectives across all Radio-Canada platforms. You lead a young and dynamic management team ready to take on the challenges currently facing the media industry. You play a key role in developing and implementing performance indicators tied to the regional stations' positioning. Engaged in the community, you serve as the Corporation's representative to community, cultural and economical organizations in the Quebec city region.Set the strategic direction and objectives for Radio-Canada Québec.Ensure effective management of all regional resources (people, financial, equipment and facilities).Provide positive, collaborative and outcome-focused leadership to the Radio-Canada Québec management team as well as all programming and non-programming staff.Work closely with your management team and employees to ensure that results and metrics match or exceed the previous year's performance.Ensure the development and production of network programs within the region.Cultivate close strategic relationships with Radio-Canada Québec partners to better connect with the community and enhance programming.Act as corporate spokesperson for regional issues. Proactively and positively represent CBC/Radio-Canada within the region and help conduct public relations initiatives, particularly targeting cultural and community associations.Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (journalism, communications, administration, etc.)Solid strategic planning skills along with a demonstrated ability to implement strategies and track performance indicatorsSignificant experience managing teams, preferably in a unionized environmentSuperior skills and keen interest in communications and interpersonal relations, including the ability to communicate effectively with employees, colleagues, members of the community and outside organizationsEnglish is an assetSkills and experience in financial and budgetary managementunderstanding of programming development and production processes an assetDeep understanding of the broadcast industry and its practices is an assetCandidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.CBC/Radio-Canada is committed to being a leader in reflecting our country's diversity.
