The Canadian International Hockey Academy ("CIH Academy") is a not for profit organization that operates a boarding school for students from grade seven to twelve with a unique focus on academic achievement and hockey development. Located in Rockland, Ontario CIH Academy recruits, educates and trains student-athletes from around the world. CIH Academy offers a world-class educational program in cooperation with Blyth Academy and an elite hockey program in professional-level facilities. CIH Academy challenges its students in the classroom and on the ice, developing young athletes' minds, bodies and spirits, while preparing them for post-secondary education and beyond.

As an Assistant Coach at the CIH Academy, you will be responsible to assist in planning, organizing and conducting all the on-ice practices for your team as well as any other duties required by the Head Coach. You will attend on-ice practices that are held during the day from Monday to Friday and you will travel with the team to various games and tournaments, mostly during weekends. To succeed in this position you will demonstrate excellent people skills and teaching skills as well as the ability to form and manage relationships with staff, students and families. You need to work well in a team setting and have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. You must be available to work days, evenings and weekends and have the ability to take emergency phone calls.
