General Information:

Reporting to Hub operations the Project Manager is responsible for defining and executing projects that may impact a single plant or multiple plants. Projects may include, but not limited to capital projects, product moves, technology transfers, or product introduction.

This position supports the operations of one or multiple factories by overseeing design, improvement, expansion and construction of equipment, systems, and capital projects.

All actions are to be completed within the ITM framework and comply with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Construction
    Demonstrated breadth of experience in complex project types and delivery methods – experience in construction of green-field manufacturing plants and in operating manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledgeable in the theory, principles, and practices of construction and procurement

  • Strong understanding of the supplier, contractor/sub-contractor and equipment manufacturer landscape in Facilities and Construction

  • Project Planning and Development – Responsible to define projects schedules and financial plans and manage projects within approved schedules and budgets.

  • Project portfolios – Depending on scope projects may impact either a single plant or multiple plants. All projects will be managed consistent with company policies and procedures and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Project Execution and Control – Supervise project execution and performance including reporting and project reviews with HUB management and others as required. Builds relationship among all parties involved in the project and serves as an escalation point to resolve issues that may have unfavorable impacts on any given project.

  • Health Safety & Environmental / ITM – Ensures that all projects comply with HSE policies and procedures and Integrated Transformer Management Systems processes.

  • Leadership & Development – Leads and coaches the project team to ensure the project objectives are met. As project manager ensures that project team members have the skills, competencies and training required to support assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in Operations, Construction Project Management and/or Continuous Improvement

  • Solid background in commercial/industrial construction

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management or other related field.

  • Project Management degree or certification is an important asset

  • Ability to manage resources not under direct reporting lines

  • Project management and/or experience with Capital and construction projects; experience budgeting and planning projects

  • Excellent English and French communication skills, both oral and written.
