EnVision is looking for an experienced, motivated, team-oriented person to lead our Designated Substances & Hazardous Materials team. Ideal candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities and demonstrate the capacity to effectively manage internal and external relationships.

As part of your role, you may expect to be involved in:

  • Co-ordination and execution of field work associated with designated substances and hazardous materials services;
  • Preparation and review of technical reports;
  • Management of project financials and schedules;
  • Communications with clients to assist with the development and execution of work;
  • Proposal preparation and review;
  • Ensuring high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables;
  • Fostering an atmosphere of continuous improvement through on-the-job coaching and guidance to staff;
  • Proactively committing to creating a positive work environment;
  • Supporting and/or developing Health & Safety programs;
  • Collaborating with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed; and,
  • In addition, any other functions assigned as part of your employment

To apply to this position, you should expect to have:

  • Degree or Diploma in related discipline
  • 4+ years of prior consulting experience working in the field of designated substances and hazardous materials or other related disciplines
  • Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
  • Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and co-workers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to time-sensitive issues
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach
