The Summer Program Assistant will help to provide support in all program areas at the Bethany Hope Centre over the summer months so that we can avoid any interruption in programs. ~ In progress on a post-secondary diploma or degree in field of Social Services or related field an asset ~ Completion of Secondary School ~ This position is funded in part through the Canada Summer Jobs Program and the following represents the applicant criteria:~ Is between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of the employment ~ Is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*: and, ~ Is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations. ~*International students are not eligible. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are a Canadian Citizen or a permanent resident EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: Prior experience in community programming an asset Experience with children and /or young parent families an asset SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES: Attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills.
