The incumbent will partner with Functional leaders to deliver financial and strategic results through utilization of Sysco best practices. Overall, the role will provide visibility and create transparency through process improvements that ultimately drive improved profitability, reduced cost, greater insights, and overall business improvement across the function.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Track and drive progress on Functional initiatives, while demonstrating a clear link to the reported P&L results.
  • Develop reporting, forecasting, and planning outputs which are aligned to Sysco Corporate FP&A framework.
  • Provide consolidated, standardized reporting for the Function to monitor and drive performance.
  • Coordinate and manage the prioritization and approval process for all Capex projects, ensuring all capital spending decisions are underpinned by robust commercial analysis and supported by appropriate financial metrics.
  • Communicate and liaise with Regional Finance teams to ensure that submission timetables and deliverable requirements are well understood and adhered
  • Provide financial analysis for major initiatives and negotiations and translate functional insights into Opportunities and Risks for Functional Leadership Team.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytics and financial decision support.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.
  • Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.

Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):

  • 4+ years progressive finance experience.
  • High business acumen with strong finance background.
  • Previous FP&A experience in a multi business unit, multi-national environment.
  • Experience within the food service and/or distribution industry preferred.Bachelor's Degree in Business, with a concentration on Accounting / Finance required
  • CPA designation or equivalent is an asset
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Strong Excel modelling skills with experience creating, from scratch, user-friendly templates and processes that facilitate meaningful reporting, analysis, and forecasting
  • Demonstrates knowledge of market, competition, products, and industry trends.
  • Develops and implements cost saving measures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to create alignment across multiple businesses and work productively to achieve shared goals.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely; verbal and written.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to build Senior Leadership Decks.
  • Strategic minded with strong influential skills.
  • Able to quickly understand and find practical solutions to complex problems as they arise.
  • Able to deploy Finance best practices across the organization.
  • Flexible and able to manage and prioritize multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle may be required. (under 10% travel)
