We are seeking a highly skilled People & Culture Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in supporting our company-wide People & Culture services and administration in a high-growth environment.

In this dynamic position, you will have the opportunity to handle a wide range of tasks. On a daily basis, you will be responsible for supporting the talent & acquisition team as it relates to scheduling candidate screening and panel interviews as well as overseeing our college recruitment efforts. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support various routine HR activities to include coordinating the onboarding of new employees.

This role is based in Toronto and requires a presence in the office for 4 days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule candidate interviews in Lever, providing support to the recruiters
  • Coordinate travel arrangementsfor candidates and internal Kepler employees as necessary
  • Plan and execute college recruiting initiatives by coordinating and scheduling recruiting events across multiple campuses, including travel during career fair season if required
  • Post internship opportunities on the applicant tracking system (Lever), as well as on job boards and universities
  • Manage full cycle internship recruiting process including resume review, candidate presentation to hiring managers, interview coordination, candidate experience management, and offer negotiation
  • Conduct pre-employment screenings and background checks through third party, and accurately enter new employee data into the HRIS system
  • Assist in new employee onboarding by preparing and organizing orientation materials and scheduling new hire orientation sessions
  • Provide guidance and training to employees on HR policies, procedures, programs, and applicant tracking system (Lever)
  • Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
  • Display good judgment and discretion when handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Attend all facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience (minimum of 1 year) as an HR coordinator or in a similar HR role
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Excellent written communication skills utilized when writing to candidates and colleagues
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Detail-oriented and highly analytical
  • Operates with a large degree of autonomy and independently completes high-quality work to meet established goals
  • Experience with event planningand other general office management tasks

  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced start-up environment
  • Experience using Lever, HRIS systems to include Humi, Paycor and Gusto,First Aid training
  • Experience with Confluence and SharePoint
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
