Job DescriptionLake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Full Time Bakery Team Leader of at our Food Store location in Prince Albert, SK.
If you are looking to use your industry knowledge and leadership skills to take the Bakery Department to the next level, the Lake Country Co-op is looking for you! You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire department.
What you'll do:
- Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach
- Managing and monitoring the store's inventory, including restocking shelves, ordering new products, and ensuring that popular items are always in stock
- Oversee and supervise the bakery department staff members, including training and scheduling
- Ensure that the bakery department is well-organized and visually appealing, with products displayed neatly and in an attractive manner
- Perform receiving of merchandise, stocking shelves, pricing, displays, selling, conducting inventory counts
- Ensure maintenance on all equipment is completed to schedule; follow all Food Safe and Health and Safety regulations and practices
- Other duties as assigned
Who you'll work with : Reporting to the Director, Food, you will be a key participant in initiating, developing, and executing plans and policies to ensure continued growth in sales, service, and customer satisfaction. You will lead a department on this fun and passionate team to cultivate a culture of collaboration.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:
- You have a grade 12 or combination of relevant experience; experience decorating cakes is preferred
- You have a minimum of 2 – 3 years of retail experience; CRS and Bakery experience is an asset
- You are well organized, capable of attaining a high level of production, with a minimum amount of supervision
- You must be able to plan and organize your own work and that of others, supervise others, and delegate to others
- You're honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do
- You are familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives
- You have the ability to fulfill physical job requirements – standing, and perform heavy lifting regularly; extensive manual labour is required
- You have the ability to work in a fast paced, guest facing environment
- You have a flexible work schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
