As part of our ongoing commitment to strengthen our team, broaden our industry footprint and create long term sustainable projects we're currently planning numerous large mixed-use projects including the development of the former Christie Cookie site at 2150 Lakeshore Blvd. W. in Toronto and have an opportunity for a dedicated, analytical and detail-oriented individual with a positive and professional attitude to join our team as a Senior Project Coordinator .

2150 Lakeshore Blvd. is a 28-acre master planned transit-oriented community and is the last remaining undeveloped parcel of land in Humber Bay Shores. Our vision for this 20-year, thirty building, 8 million square foot property is a revitalized transit-oriented mixed-use community with a high-quality urban design that integrates a range of uses delivering additional community needs.

WHAT'S THE ROLE?

The key responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance to quality standards throughout all phases of the construction process for assigned projects; respond to queries as appropriate
  • Review all construction documents with respect to completeness, efficient design and coordination between disciplines
  • Accountable for the maintenance, recording/revision and distribution of assigned drawings including the uploading to Astley Gilbert DFS site and receipt of any extras or credits to the contract as a result of changes
  • Support Project and Construction Management leads responsible for Mixed-use Design, Transportation Design and Civil Design
  • Ensure all Bulletin 19 reporting is received, deficient work notification to trades occurs, completed items are filed and documentation is forwarded to Tarion
  • Coordinate Schedule A's (suite black line) from the Agreements of Purchase and Sale with working drawings
  • Maintain the project manual by obtaining the necessary documentation and/or data such as labour hours, equipment rentals, rebar, concrete reports, etc.
  • Update and maintain various schedules (e.g. weekly finishing schedule) and summaries such as suite upgrades and changes
  • Ensure compliance with local authorities such as the Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Energy and Environment (MOEE) and municipalities

This position requires:

  • A Construction Management Diploma or a post-secondary education in a related field with two years of construction experience is preferred
  • Experience with Construction Safety and Building Codes and Standards is essential
  • Working knowledge of scheduling and project management software
  • Works positively within a team to achieve a common goal of completion of the project
  • Must have the ability to simultaneously handle a large and diverse number of projects, tasks and issues with tact, cooperation, and persistence
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as an integral part of a team
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism
  • Methodical; ability to plan and organize with good attention to detail
