Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time experienced Contract Senior Financial Analyst to work for our client in Calgary, AB. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of a wide variety of domestic and international legal entity financial statements in compliance with IFRS that reflect the geographical diversity of our client's business.

  • Location: Calgary, AB

  • Shift: Mon – Fri, 8 hrs./day (4 days in office, 1 day work from home)

  • Job type: Temporary | Full-time | 1-year contract

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the compilation and accurate preparation of various Canadian and US legal entity financials statements and note disclosures in accordance with IFRS for compliance and governance purposes.

  • Work closely with Business Units and the Tax team to support the preparation of the legal entity financial statements.

  • Support legal entity statement review and audit engagements with Cenovuss external auditors, as required.

  • Implement efficiencies and look for ways to improve processes, including the migration of legal entity financial statements to Workiva.

  • Work closely with Accounting Research to resolve any reporting and disclosure matters on a timely basis, including changes to IFRS.

  • Assist with the preparation and review of tax step memos, as required.

  • Other reporting duties and projects, as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada

  • CPA Designation

  • Completion of a University undergraduate degree preferably in Accounting, Business or Finance

  • Excellent business writing and oral communication skill

  • Minimum 8 years post-designation progressive experience in an accounting/finance related environment

  • Motivated individual with a positive attitude who is also a team player

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to work

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS requirements

  • Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry
