Tasks

1. Compile orders and instructions received from customers
2. Develop specific plans to prioritize
3. Organize tasks to accomplish the work
4. Track and complete work orders
5. Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
6. Perform general office duties
7. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
8. Co-ordinate activities with warehouse and production units
9. Compile worksheets and specifications of orders
10. Create, investigate, track and complete work orders
11. Prepare and maintain progress and other reports
12. Provide customer service
13. Co-ordinate, assign and review work
14. Dispatch personnel as required by emergency situations
15. Follow-up on issues with work orders
16. Keep track of shipments
17. Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices
18. Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations
19. Process and transmit information and instructions to co-ordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
