Manufacturing Project Engineer

Responsible for managing equipment installation, building modification or improvement projects.

Responsabilities :

  • Responsible for technical projects including building renovations, new equipment purchases and installations.
  • Manage the change control process and qualification of its projects and ensure that qualification meets cGMPs
  • Establish and maintain contacts with customers (internal and external) to define requirements.
  • Present technical information or concepts.
  • Design and manage project plans.
  • Responsible for adherence to project schedule and budget.
  • Manage scope changes and scope creep.
  • Conduct feasibility studies.
  • Lead the purchasing process for these projects, including sourcing and negotiating with suppliers.
  • Produce quantity surveys and prepare budget estimates and reports.
  • Request and review tender documents, specifications and other technical documents.
  • Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of installations.
  • Take charge of major technical problems in the plant and act as a resource person to help solve problems.
  • Contribute ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and safety.
  • Comply with company policies.
  • University degree in engineering
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Good knowledge of automated systems
  • Good knowledge of mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of packaging and/or pharmaceutical equipment
  • (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma concepts (an asset)
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingualism required: English and French.
