Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
Manage the recruitment and selection process, focusing on attracting top talent in the energy sector.
Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) is a plus.
Proven working experience as an HR Specialist or HR Manager, preferably in the energy sector.
Deep knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
Understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
In-depth knowledge of HR systems and databases.
Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
Must have oil and gas sector experience.
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
