Finance Manager Job Type: Full-time (Maternity Cover – 12 month FTC) We are looking for a Finance Manager to join a well-established organisation based across Cumbria on a maternity fixed term contract. Develop and lead on risk management policies, procedures, and systems to manage financial risks. Contribute to the development of financial strategy, policies, and procedures. Quality assure financial reporting for accuracy and timeliness. Address issues raised by external and internal audit functions. Meet external reporting and filing deadlines, including VAT, PAYE, NI, and Pensions. Maintain compliance with Data Protection/GDPR for financial information. Support monthly financial tasks such as bank reconciliations, postings, month-end completion, and preparation of management accounts and balance sheets. Undertake financial evaluations of new projects and initiatives. Manage correspondence and handle enquiries and complaints from external agencies and stakeholders. Strong understanding of risk management policies and financial regulations. Ability to contribute to financial strategy and policy development.
