State is hiring permanent, full-time, General Labourers, either on the NightShift , in all of our divisions, (curtain wall, window wall and railing).

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • General labour and/or fabrication duties of aluminum/glass products (windows, frames, glass);
  • Assemble parts or component parts;
  • Using silicone gun to glue window into frame;
  • Machine operation when required;
  • Must pay attention to details and make sure customer's glasses are handled carefully;
  • Always follow safe working procedures;
  • Any other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment or glass window wall industry is an asset;
  • Knowledge of window wall or other window systems;
  • Hand eye coordination;
  • Regular attendance is critical;
  • Ability to use hand tools and accurately use a tape measure as required;
  • Positive working attitude;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Work in a team environment by demonstrating State's core values (i.e. dependability, passion, honestly, and loyalty);
  • Good communication skills with the ability to take direction; and
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands and Abilities

  • Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time;
  • Repetitive motion with hands and arms; and
  • Standing, twisting head, neck and upper body for entire shift.

Working Conditions

  • Factory manufacturing plant environment;
  • Work may involve some exposure to unusual elements, and loud noises;
  • Work environment involved some exposure to hazards of physical risks that require knowledge of an adherence to basic safety procedures; and
  • Work environment requires wearing PPE: safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection and a mask/face shield.

Hours of Operation:

44 hours per week

Night Shift

  • Monday – Thursday 4:30 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.
  • Friday 4:30 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.
