The Cook prepares and serves nutritious meals as outlined on menus in accordance with applicable food service and safety regulations.
Requirements:- Education: High School completion with specialized courses of up to six (6) months. Up to Date food handling course.
Note: An alternative level of education and experience may be acceptable. - Licenses, Diplomas, Certifications: Cook's papers (1 year course), Precautionary Measures
- Prior Experience: One to three years of related experience, with at least one year in institutional cooking
- Physical Effort/Dexterity: Standing, lifting, cutting, chopping, carrying supplies, and walking. Must be able to lift more than 20 pounds
- Concentration: Attention to food preparation, recipe reading, safety procedures, regulations, and occasional supply ordering
Working Conditions: Casual - On call - Training will be provided.
