We are currently hiring for a Assistant Operations Manager (Afternoons/Nights) . The Assistant Operations Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the overall management of the business, which will focus on the day-to-day operations on the Afternoon and Night shifts within the designated Distribution Centre. Primary responsibilities will include overseeing the coaching, and development of Warehouse Supervisors, ensure appropriate staffing levels are in place to meet seasonal demands, driving a continuous improvement mindset, foster a team environment and safety driven culture. Provide assistance and take direction to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and customer orders. Ensure adequate resources are in place to meet requirements and support business needs. Implement and enforce safety protocols in compliance with the OHSA regulations to ensure a safe and secure environment for all warehouse employees. Provide support to the warehouse team to ensure the accurate and timely reporting for injuries and accidents, and partner with Health & Safety to implement effective countermeasures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Customer Relations, Sales and Transportation to address customer inquiries or concerns related to warehouse operations. Coach, mentor, and motivate the team to ensure performance and drive improved productivity and efficiencies. Participate in the recruitment, selection, and performance management for warehouse team members. Provide assistance in the development and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures to improve safety, efficiency, and productivity. Utilize warehouse management systems and other technologies to track inventory, customer orders, and generate reports as required. Support the creation of the budget and strategic plan and help drive the execution. Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the warehouse team. 5+ years of warehouse supervisory experience Post-secondary education in Supply Chain & Logistics preferred. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and understanding of inventory control procedures. Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, resolve conflicts, and work well with others. Highly organized, with proven time management skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Proficient Microsoft Office and relevant software applications. Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices for warehouse operations. Project management skills and demonstrated analytical thinking. Flexible to accommodate work related travel. Class G Driver's license and the use of a personal vehicle for work related travel.
