Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Position Summary: Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A will report to and work closely with the Vice-President of Finance & Controller by providing financial support, guidance and insightful analysis to help make strategic, data-driven decisions that will have an impact on our growth and profitability for years to come. This individual will be instrumental in helping build out and design the FP&A function.
Responsibilities: Duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintain effective financial models and reports, create dashboards and prepare management reporting packages which include commentary, meaningful insights and support queries for strategic analysis, variances and KPIs
- Leverage business knowledge to prepare and monitor financial and operational KPI's/business drivers and metrics, understanding trends and providing insight
- Assist in Analyzing and interpreting Financial Statements entailing periodic comparison and variance analysis
- Assist in the development of annual budget and long-term planning process and analyzing actuals against budget/forecast and prior year
- Develop financial forecast, analyze expenditure trends including headcounts and capital expenditure, recommend appropriate budget levels and ensure expenditure control
- Prepare and analyze departmental financial performance statements to ascertain revenue and cost from specific streams
- Ad Hoc financial report creation and analysis as required by management
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years of progressive experience in an FP&A role with in-depth analysis capability
- University degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce or a CPA/CFA designation or close to obtaining the CPA/CFA designation.
- Ability to work with a large volume of data.
- Experience with SAP accounting system and Power BI would be an added advantage
- Highly Proficient in intermediate to advanced Excel, Word and PowerPoint presentations
- Solid communication and organizational skills with the ability to meet a variety of deadlines
- Takes initiative, able to work independently and as an integral team member.
