Job Description

The Ecommerce picker is responsible to ensure customer service is provided through maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to Company policies, procedures, and standards.

KEYRESULTAREAS:

  • Provides customer service and maintains positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer orders and merchandise, make follow up calls with customers to fulfill orders, answer questions, comments, requests, and complaints.
  • Effectivelyworks in a diverse team environment in a proficient and friendlymanner.
  • Performs all aspects of order processing, picking, packing, staging and carryout in an efficient and organized manner.
  • Achieve and maintain order performance standards
  • Handlesmerchandiseensuring accuracy,quality,minimizingdamages,markdownsandensures price integrity including price changes.
  • Performs general clean up duties within the Ecommerce and frontend area.
  • Performs duties following established Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety and Environmental regulations and policies to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
  • Ensuresthepropercare,useandmaintenanceofequipmentandtoolsandreportsrepair requirementstotheEcommerce Manager,Frontend Manager.
  • PerformsallaspectsoftheCustomer ServiceCashierfunctions
  • Advise manager/supervisorofanymerchandiseandsuppliesthatrequireordering
  • Responsibleforallaspects ofreceivingincludingreviewing/verifyinginvoices,returns, transfers, claims and proper storage of products if required.
  • Responsible for updating/monitoring location and stock of items including, but not limited to, seasonal products
  • Responsibleforimplementation and performanceofCustomerServiceprograms.

ENVIRONMENTALCONDITIONS:

  • Requirementtowalkforlongperiods, could include standing for extended periods
  • Requirement of lifting 50+lbs on a consistent and daily basis
  • Pushing, pulling, loading and unloading heavy carts
  • Frequentbending,reaching,twisting andheavylifting
  • Dutiesinvolverepetitivemovements.
  • Requirement to perform functions in all areas of the centre, including backrooms.
  • Effectivelydealing withcontinuousdemands ofcustomers.
  • Workisperformedinaself-drivenenvironment.
  • Finger dexterityis required for tasks such as keyboards and key pads
  • Frequenttimedemandsanddeadlines.
  • Jobinvolvespushing/pulling-loadedcarts.
  • Maybeexposedtocriminalactivity intheformof fraud,attemptedtheftorrobbery.

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade9oranacceptablecombinationofeducationandexperience EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:
  • Relatedretailexperience

DESIRABLEQUALIFICATIONS:

  • BasicWord,Excel,Outlook, and computer/handheld knowledge
  • Previouscashhandling,banking, orrelatedretailexperience
