Our client is looking for an HR Coordinator in Windsor, Ontario. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the support of HR administrative tasks, safety meetings, keeping up with safety records and certification, and safety training.

The selected candidate will undergo certification in Joint Health and Safety (JH&S) protocols to conduct monthly meetings and oversee all safety training and alerts.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for various administrative tasks
  • Provide assistance with external and internal recruitment and selection – job posting, resume screens, phone/email screens, tracking/reporting applicants, setting up interviews, conducting reference checks
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination and delivery of New Hire Orientation and various training programs to all employees at various levels within the organization as required
  • Responsible for the maintenance of all HR & Safety forms
  • Responsible for assisting in the full range of human resources services, including recruitment, employee assistance, and data entry.
  • Assist the HR and hiring managers in the booking and organization of interviews
  • Responsible for tracking and scheduling training
  • Assisting in the preparation of Performance Reviews of all hourly associates
  • Assist with Attendance and Discipline program
  • Assist in monthly Meetings
  • Prepares appropriate health and safety reports, conducts health and safety concerns and issues and attends operations meetings to review health & safety concerns and issues
  • Assist in the identification of training needs for employees and develop and deliver training as required
  • Prepares reports detailing health and safety issues by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
  • Presents reports and suggestions for improvement

Job Requirements

  • Post-Secondary Education / Certificate in Human Resources Management or a related field
  • Construction Industry experience would be an asset
  • 2 -5 years' experience in Human Resources
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of current legislation (OHSA, Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, WSIB, MOL and others)
  • Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a half-hour lunch break. Overtime may be required during high-pressure periods, such as training preparation

Additionally, candidates with full certification as a Human Resource Professional are encouraged to apply, and the pay rate will be determined based on their experience and qualifications.
