Job Description:

Work Term: Permanent
Work Language: English
Hours: 40 hours per week
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years or equivalent experience
Work setting: Business services

  1. Plan, develop, implement and evaluate human resources policies and programs
  2. Advise managers and employees on the interpretation of human resources policies, benefit programs and collective agreements
  3. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  4. Train, direct and motivate staff
  5. Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs
  6. Plan, develop and implement recruitment strategies
  7. Co-ordinate employee performance and appraisal programs
  8. Manage training and development strategies
  9. Research employee benefits and health and safety practices and recommend changes
  10. Advise senior management
  11. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  12. Hire, train and supervise staff
  13. Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  14. Organize and administer staff consultation and grievance procedures
  15. Oversee payroll administration
  16. Provide customer service
  17. Recruit and hire staff
  18. Occupational health and safety

Supervision: 5-10 people

  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP)
