    The incumbent will contribute to the development and control of purchasing for CAPEX/investment projects at AIM's various sites.

    Reporting directly to the Strategic Purchasing Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the strategic sourcing of the assigned spend category, while ensuring the best overall value for the company. In this position, you will be responsible for requirements analysis, procurement plan development, market approach, contract negotiations, contract management, support in preparation and development and maintenance of strong supplier relationships.

    • Analyze the scope of application, based on a close partnership with the project team
    • Market analysis
    • Provide pre-bidestimation
    • Responsible for identifying contractors and suppliers
    • Responsible for RFI / RFP / RFQ management and execution
    • Prepare the selection criteria matrix, with a view to optimum pricing in terms of value for money
    • Negotiate contracts
    • Cover full transactionalcycle, from the request definition to contract management
    • Require suppliers to meet key cost, quality and delivery targets
    • Monitor the shipment and delivery of goods and services
    • Ensure resolution of pricing issues on invoices
    • Produce project close-out report
      • 4 or more yearsexperience within CAPEX projects or other related spendcategories
      • Education in business, finance or engineering
      • Strong technical understanding and ability in the context of projects
      • Innovative approach and ability to take responsibility
      • Communicate clearly and effectively
      • Strong organizational skills
      • Ability to work collaboratively with other internal and external stakeholders
      • Bilingual (English and French), both written and spoken
