Supply Chain Compliance Specialist

Summary: The Supply Chain Process Specialist is responsible for managing assigned program and project procurement activity while ensuring the compliance of various programs and regulatory requirements & management activities related to NIST 800, CMMC, REACH, RoHS and Conflict Minerals. This role will work collaboratively with members of the Supply Chain, Legal, Contracts, Compliance, Program Management, Quality, Engineering and New Product Introduction (NPI) Teams to identify all flow down requirements pertaining to government and customer contracts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interprets and creates flow down documents for suppliers and internal training of the sourcing team.
  • Ensures timely, cost-effective materials and service acquisition along with the development of product delivery plans and schedules.
  • Subject matter expert in the field of U.S. Government FARS and DFARS and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Is familiar with the regulatory requirements and supports compliance activities associated within and throughout the Supply Chain including NIST 800-171, CMMC, Conflict Minerals, NIJ, RoHS, Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking, and others.
  • Measures and monitors current and potential suppliers are adhering to the standards.
  • Establishes priorities with key suppliers to ensure schedule development and execution are maintained in accordance with DFARS.
  • Maintains and monitors database integrity within Assent, AX & Innovator.
  • Works cooperatively with others to achieve team or organizational tasks and/or goals.
  • Acts as the intermediary in vendor quality and performance issues as required.
  • Monitors and identifies if new product is in scope for REACH, RoHS and/or Conflict Minerals.
  • Become local subject matter expert and provide training on how to access databases, navigate, run reports, REACH, RoHS and CM requirements.
  • Corporate Security of facilities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5-years' experience in related field
  • University or college degree relating to Purchasing/Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge in microcomputer software applications required, MS Office, MRP Systems background and familiarity.
  • Functional knowledge of DFARS and new NIST 800-171, Cybersecurity requirements
  • Functional knowledge CMMC, Conflict Minerals, RoHS, NIJ, Modern Slavery Child Trafficking.
  • Previous experience in contract flow downs and delivering to government agencies.
  • Sound knowledge of assisting suppliers in attaining compliance.
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, tactfully, and diplomatically with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work in cross functional inter-departmental team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and timelines.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as being able to work alone when required.
