Assist tradespersons such as siding installers, carpenters in exterior residential and commercial construction. Assist siding installers in preparing and cleaning surfaces for applications of wood, vinyl, or similar materials; assist in installing and repairing siding materials; assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping materials; assist in applying caulking and sealants. Cleaning job sites by removing any rubble or garbage at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment; sorting materials and recyclables appropriately; ensuring work tools and equipment are stored away properly. Set up work areas for siding installers in advance. Maintain tools and equipment and coordinate with supervisor if replacement or service required. Operate various hand tools such as siding shears, gauges, trim cutters, removal tools, power nails, drills, etc, as directed. Perform other duties assigned by project Managers/Site Superintendents. Report all injuries, incidents or unsafe working conditions to their direct supervisor or safety representative as soon as possible. Report concerns directly to supervisor immediately. SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Education: No Formal Education required. Experience: No Experience required. Experience working on construction sites would be considered an asset.
