We're Raise, and we've joined forces with our client, a well-known and well-trusted environmental consultancy, that has made the environment their life's work. They offer a broad range of trusted environmental assessments, monitoring, mitigation, and offsetting design services. They deliver using a proven, science-based approach and create and implement innovative environmental design and practices to create solutions that assist and support their clients.
What you'll be doing
Leading the design, planning, and execution of ecological studies focused on fisheries and aquatic resources
Summarizing and analyzing data to draw conclusions on environmental conditions and using these results with inference to scientific literature to make defensible conclusions about the status of the environment and the potential effects of anticipated natural and anthropogenic influences
Documenting these results in written reports and presenting the results to clients, regulators, Indigenous groups, and stakeholders as part of regulatory and approval processes
Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, taking the lead on specific tasks, taking direction on others, and collaborating with your colleagues to maximize work productivity and quality
The Details
This is a full-time permanent position. You have the option of working either, remotely, in a hybrid work environment, or working out of one of their many offices across the Country. In addition to a competitive base salary in the range of $72,000.00 - $124,000.00/year (commensurate with experience), you'll also enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, access to their wellness program, an RRSP plan, eligibility for overtime, vacation, and training & professional development programs.
Qualifications
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in aquatic or fisheries science
R.P. Bio. or eligible
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, within the environmental consulting sector
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a team within a similar environment is considered an asset
Effective analytical and technical editing and review skills, and ability to ensure delivery of high-quality reports and proposals
Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, excellence, and ethics
Experience in the mining sector is considered an asset
