Job Summary
This is a key roll providing support for both Capital Project Management and Industrial Process improvements. This includes analyzing production, designing integrated systems, optimizing the company's internal procedures and identifying / managing equipment upgrades.
Duties Include
Industrial Engineering
Calculating labor standards for new and existing products
Completing Time Studies and developing / adjusting routers to suite
Identify and implement process improvements
Assist with part cost estimating
Review and validate BOM's and routings to ensure accuracy and they reflect the latest manufacturing practices.
Implement value stream mapping diagrams and lean manufacturing concepts
Project Engineering
Manage various complex capital projects from concept to completion ensuring all projects are performed on time, on budget and within project scope.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects utilizing project management methodology
Develop project scope of work and objectives; involving all relevant departments & personnel to ensure technical feasibility.
Coordinate between internal resources, vendors, and contractors for flawless project execution.
Supervise field work being performed by contractors and consultants.
Shares responsibility for ensuring that Polycorp health and safety program is in place for contractors and service providers and that all work is performed in a safe manner.
Prepare Capital proposal packages with all supporting documents, correspondences, comparisons, and cost saving analysis
Create, maintain, and update all existing AutoCAD files related to plant equipment
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, or related engineering fields
Minimum ten years of engineering work experience (preferably in rubber manufacturing)
Experience in project management and project engineering - PMP designation an asset
Strong project management skills in planning, scheduling, assigning tasks, and budgeting
Knowledge and understanding of industrial processes, plants, and facilities.
AutoCAD, 3D modeling programs, Office Suite, MS Project, and SAP/ERP systems
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a very fast-paced environment.
Excellent time management skills in order to meet deadlines.
