As a Technical Architect with BioScript, you will help drive our future state enterprise centric IT architectures and remain up to date on the latest technologies, standards, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment. The technical architect is a key pillar in our modern Enterprise Architecture practices working closely with our Business, Application, and Data Architecture roles.

This role is responsible for leading the design of the technology architecture to power business strategies. This includes a focus on designing and extending a modern technology ecosystem and architecture across legacy systems and emerging areas, including digital platforms, mobile platforms, modern data architectures, integration architectures, and cloud architectures.

How you will make an impact

  • Develop technology infrastructure strategy, that supports leading technology related investments across the organization;
  • Develop technical product and capability roadmaps and implement programs to develop capabilities;
  • Infrastructure related solution designs and documentation for deployment;
  • The role will work closely with the business and our IT Operations / Support teams to identify areas where we can improve our technical architecture to improve service delivery, uptime, and security;
  • Support, facilitate, and champion a culture of innovation;
  • Research, monitor industry trends, evaluate, and onboard relevant technologies to mature technical architecture;
  • Support the work to develop technical capabilities, solutions, and tools built in a patient centric manner;
  • Leads programs to develop, maintain, and govern the technical architecture across the organization;
  • Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth knowledge across multiple specialized architecture domains;
  • Take part in Architecture Review Board (ARB) meetings and the associated work;
  • Collaborate with business leaders, providing input and capability information as inputs to develop business case for initiatives;
  • Participate in enterprise risk and disaster recovery planning;
  • Other duties as required.

What you'll bring to our team

  • 3 or more years of experience in modern application, digital, and systems architecture design and development;
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field is required;
  • Project management experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders;
  • Prior experience leading technical architecture functions and building capabilities from the ground up;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading strategic change management initiatives impacting people, process and technology;
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues and experience leading a team of leaders and subject matter experts;
  • Knowledge of the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry with exposure to application development and deployment, data, integrations and cloud architectures;
  • Excellent leader and collaborative team player who is flexible, adaptable and results oriented;
  • Experience in creating architecture views using industry standard enterprise architecture frameworks;
  • Experience with advanced networks SDWAN, ZTNA, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and on prem systems.
