Kitikmeot Corporation - Director, Business Development

The Director, Business Development works closely with the COO to provide KC with both strategic and operational management support. With the COO, the incumbent closely monitors KC's subsidiary companies, joint ventures and partnerships by maintaining current and accurate information that gauges performance and supports management decisions. This can be challenging given that KC's business investments operate across a range of sectors and are structured in a variety of ways.

The incumbent is responsible for addressing corporate- or company-specific issues as they arise, and for making recommendations to the COO that helps ensure investments are protected and profitable. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring that KC and its companies are in good standing with regulators with respect to all required corporate filings, licensing and regulatory submissions.

In addition to executing responsibilities related to existing investments, the incumbent researches, analyzes and recommends new venture opportunities capable of meeting KC's profit and Inuit benefit expectations. Subject to further direction from the KC Board of Directors and senior managers, the incumbent may be involved in pursuing such identified opportunities.
