JOB SUMMARY:

The Heavy Equipment Excavator Operator reports to a Lead Hand/Foreman to assist in the installation of electrical & underground utilities. We are looking for an operator whose primary experience is in an excavator as they will be excavating trenches 1.5 meters deep. The ability to run other equipment would be considered an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Working 5 - 6 days a week, 8 - 10 hours a day.
Operate Heavy Equipment - Specifically Excavator
Primary role will be excavating trenches at 1.5 meter depth.
Ability to run other equipment (Skid Steer, Loader, Backhoe) is considered an asset.
Dig, backfill, and sand trenches with heavy equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.
Site setup and cleanup.
Adapt to changing priorities.
Work in all weather conditions.
Perform labour tasks, as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Competency driving standard vehicles is considered an asset.
Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and walk.
