The Product Design Engineer be a key member of our product design and operational teams, contributing to the design and testing of new cutting-edge products and improvements to our existing innovative product line-up. To be successful in this position, you should have previous hands-on experience with aluminum extrusions, expert level experience using CAD software, with strong attention to detail and a creative flair. It's also important that you have solid project management skills to meet the daily demands of the role.

Responsibilities
Design new engineering products and processes
Craft models and drawings of products using CAD
Arrange for and facilitate product and prototype testing
Work with authorities to ensure product certifications
Analyze prototype and testing data and retest if needed
Research new product ideas and methods
Review and apply third-party engineering reports and recommendations
Improve existing products and processes
Ensure compliance with the industry's safety standards
Maintain accurate records
Ensure products are user- and environment-friendly
Write detailed reports
Find creative design solutions to problems
Present prototypes and designs to customers and project managers

Education & Qualifications
Five to seven years of previous experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role
Proven experience using CAD software (minimum of 5 years)
Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
Previous experience working with aluminum extrusions (preferred)
Ability to present in front of stakeholders, executive and department managers
Great computational and spatial ability
Excellent oral and written communication (English)
Meticulous attention to detail
Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering or a similar field (required)
