Machine Operator - Bagger

Our growing Brantford client who is a leader in manufacturing is looking for Machine Operators/ Baggers to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years related experience and will also have their forklift license. The are straight nights available, straight days and Weekend Days available. The following are the responsibilities:

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Start-up and shutdown of machines
• Complete pre-start checklists and daily production reports
• Assist with scheduled maintenance (bi-weekly)
• Monitor belts to ensure no jams, stoppages, overall performance of machine
• Monitor metal detectors and look for contaminants in material (metal, wood, debris, etc.)
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and adjust as required
• Current Forklift Licence & previous experience with forklift
• Assist other operators when required
• Fill hoppers with processed rubber
• Stage materials on the plant floor
• Ensure continual feed of material to hoppers to keep production going

Requirements:

• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Must be mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills
• Excellent attendance & punctuality
• Fast learner who is able to follow instructions
• Able to stand for duration of shift and constantly lift up to 50lbs
• Previous experience as a machine operator in a production/manufacturing facility is an asset

Days - 7am-7:15pm Mon-Fri - $20.34/hr
Nights- 7pm-7:15am Mon-Fri - $21.34/hr

Weekend Days- 7am-7pm Sat and Sun - $20.34/hr
