POSITION DESCRIPTION
FOP CONSULTANTS is looking for a programmer motivated to deliver on mandates. The main assignments would be to code, test and deploy programs that comply with technical specifications; take part in maintaining and improving existing applications; ensure compliance with current programming standards; and collaborate with development and operations teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Code, test and deploy programs according to technical specifications.
- Take part in the maintenance and continuous improvement of existing applications.
- Ensure compliance with programming standards and best practices.
- Diagnose and fix reported defects.
- Document programs and the changes made.
- Collaborate with development, operations and quality assurance teams.
- Take part in the Agile team's activities (planning, follow-up, retrospectives).
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- University or college degree in computer science or a related discipline.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in information technology.
- Eight (08) to fifteen (15) years of experience as a Programmer.
- Experience with one or more programming languages and development environments.
- Experience with one of the following frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, Lean, DSDM, SAFe, Nexus.
- Hold one of the following certifications: Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Oracle Certified Professional: Java SE Developer.
- Hold one of the following Agile certifications (an asset): A-CSM, PSM II, CSP-SM, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (ASM) etc.
- Experience with one of the following tools: Azure DevOps, JIRA, Confluence.
- Experience in Canadian public or private organizations.
- Language: French and English
