Accounting Manager - Operational Accounting

Location: Saint-Laurent, QC
Salary: 90,000k to 110,000k per year, with bonus

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week (2 days in the office, 3 days working remotely)

Our client, a well-established and stable company that has been in business for over 40 years, is currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join and lead a team of 8 people in Ville Saint-Laurent.

We are looking for a hands-on, versatile person to join a broad operational managerial accounting role. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and can work across multiple areas of the business.

You will lead a team of 8 employees and oversee key accounting activities including:

• General accounting and account reconciliations
• Accruals and variance analysis
• Financial reporting and analysis
• Vendor rebates, credits and rebate programs
• Customer/vendor credit notes and sales adjustments
• Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
• Inventory accounting and inventory costing
• Team leadership, coaching and employee development
• Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Procurement and Operations
• Ad-hoc accounting projects and process improvements

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong operational accounting experience
• Experience with inventory accounting and costing
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience managing or leading an accounting team
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple responsibilities and take ownership
