Technician

Our client in the energy industry is seeking an Technician to join their team. As an Technician, you will be part of the engineering department supporting the team in designing and fabricating large metal coils for the development of plasma fusion experiments and machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, strong multi-disciplinary skillset, and experience with power tools.

Job Title: Engineering Technician
Location: Richmond, BC
Pay Range: $30-35/hr

What's the Job?

• Maintain shop, shop tools, and materials.
• Construction, Fabrication, assembly (including but not limited to concrete pouring, some welding, mag-drill work, cable tray installation, painting, and a large assortment of build and assembly work)
• Circuit board and other component assembly
• Work while keeping personal and co-worker safety as the top priority in all operations.
• Bring experience and shop know-how to the team
• Other duties as directed.
• Clean up, drill holes, building hand tools, drill press

What's Needed?

• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong multi-disciplinary skillset with demonstrated ability to work independently and reliably
• Experience with power tools, ability to use drill press, hand router, and other industrial tools.
• Ability to lift up to 20kg
• Preferred: Experience and comfort working in a fast-paced research and development environment.
