A career as a Senior Tax Analyst in the Tax activities team, at National Bank, is an opportunity to grow within a unifying group that is an essential contributor to decisions and offers a cross-sector vision of collaboration with various partners.
Your job

  • Support the Bank's sectors in their U.S. tax transactions with advanced technical expertise
  • Handle complex requests from partners and the IRS by identifying and resolving operational problems
  • Reconcile and reconcile U.S. source income paid and reported
  • Ensure the rigour of the data reported to the IRS and make the necessary corrections within the timeframe
  • Periodic remittance of withheld taxes
  • Review and improve existing processes to simplify and standardise tax tasks
  • Help issue U.S. tax slips for business lines and partners
  • Contribute to technological and regulatory projects through in-depth tax expertise

Your team
Reporting to the Senior Manager of U.S. Tax Operations, you will be part of a team of 12 colleagues and play a key role in developing the sector's practises and quality.

Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or any other combination of training and experience deemed equivalent
  • Experience and understanding of operational processes related to financial services and/or taxation
  • Knowledge of investment products (securities)
  • Knowledge of Canadian or U.S. tax rules
  • Advanced Excel level (manipulation of large databases, advanced formulas, etc.)
  • Good management of time, priorities and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships
  • Sense of initiative, discipline, strong ability to take charge and ability to work in solution mode
