About Strathmore Landscape Management

-

-
Tailored, integrated services built on proven expertise

A team of 300 employees working year-round with professionalism and pride
Position Summary
As a Sidewalk Snow Removal Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for operating compact snow-removal equipment to keep our commercial client properties safe, accessible, and clear throughout winter weather events.
Operators will primarily use Kubota and Wacker machines equipped with plow/blade attachments to clear sidewalks, walkways, entrances, ramps, pathways, and other designated areas.
Our sidewalk machines have enclosed cabs but are not heated, so operators must be prepared to work in cold winter conditions for extended periods.
You'll generally remain at your assigned property for the duration of your shift. A Crew Leader will provide direction and priorities, but operators are expected to work independently and efficiently within the crew to ensure their assigned areas are completed to Strathmore's standards.
When a snow event is forecast, shifts are posted through our mobile app, where employees confirm their availability and receive work information.
This is a direct-to-site position. Operators are responsible for having reliable transportation to their assigned property in Ottawa Central, Nepean, or Barrhaven, at any time of the day or night.
This is an important role on the snow team - our crews rely on their machine operators to be experienced, dependable, safety-conscious, and ready when the snow starts!
