Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering
P. Eng designation preferred
5-7 years of Industrial/Manufacturing experience
Previous proven project management experience

Note: This role is not suited for candidates with only project coordination, IT project management, or construction-only experience.

Responsibilities

Project Execution
Manage the full lifecycle of selected key capital projects in the $50k to $5 M range
Prepare scope of work documents including design basis, major equipment specifications, and control requirements
Work with outside consultants as required to properly scope and deliver projects
Ensure the supervision, commissioning, and start-up of capital projects
Monitor financial performance of projects throughout execution to ensure budgetary performance and effective management of scope change
Project Reporting
Provide recurring reports on project status to key project stakeholders and the Executive Team
Document pproject outcomes, lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for future projects
Project Planning
Identify improvement opportunities and participate in developing and implementing best practices
Support short-term (1 year) and long-term (3-5 year) capital plan development
