Location: GTA, Ontario (multiple work sites)
Pay: $30.00 per hour (bi-weekly pay)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced Excavator Operator / Site Foreman for a construction company specializing in residential pool removals and related excavation work.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced excavator operator who can safely operate equipment while also taking responsibility for coordinating and overseeing the crew on site. The successful candidate must be comfortable working at different job sites throughout the GTA and driving to locations as required.

Responsibilities

Operate an excavator safely and efficiently for pool removal, excavation, demolition and related construction work
Act as the Foreman on site, overseeing the crew and coordinating daily site activities
Assign tasks and provide direction to crew members to keep work progressing safely and efficiently
Monitor the work site and ensure tasks are completed according to instructions
Communicate with the Owner regarding site requirements, materials and job progress
Order materials when requested by the Owner
Ensure materials are only ordered after receiving confirmation from the Owner
Perform daily equipment and site checks and report any issues
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work site
Follow all applicable safety procedures and company requirements
Assist with general construction and site duties when required

Requirements

Minimum 3-4 years of experience operating an excavator in a construction environment
Previous experience as a Foreman, Lead Hand or Site Supervisor is strongly preferred
Ability to safely operate an excavator around residential properties and confined work areas
Strong understanding of construction site safety and procedures
Ability to lead and direct a small crew
Good communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Comfortable driving to different job sites throughout the GTA
Must be dependable and comfortable working Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Previous experience with pool removals, demolition, excavation or residential construction is an asset

Other areas throughout the GTA as required
