A leading manufacturer in Vaughan, ON is seeking a highly skilled Millwright (433A) with strong troubleshooting abilities to support a fast paced cable production environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a plastics extrusion manufacturing environment.

What You'll Be Working On
You will work with a range of advanced equipment, including:

  • Plastic extrusion lines
  • Vacuum systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Rotating machinery used in cable manufacturing
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical production equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance using a CMMS, completing inspections and follow up repairs.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues on electromechanical production machinery to minimize downtime.
  • Interpret schematics, blueprints, and AutoCAD drawings to support maintenance activities.
  • Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential failures and prevent breakdowns.
  • Work collaboratively with the maintenance and engineering teams to support production needs.
  • Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and WHMIS guidelines.
  • Provide occasional light machining (slotting, polishing shafts).
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

What We're Looking For

  • 433A Industrial Mechanic / Millwright Certificate of Qualification (Ontario).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong diagnostic skills with both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Ability to identify electrical issues (checking fuses, tracing faults, isolating failures).
  • Exposure to PLC systems (Allen Bradley preferred, troubleshooting)
  • Skilled in mechanical assembly/disassembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machining.
  • Ability to use machine shop tools and perform routine machining when required.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings, schematics, blueprints, and sketches.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with CMMS platforms.
  • Candidates must supply their own general toolbox (specialty tools provided).
  • must be able to pass a criminal background check
