We are looking for a Financial Analyst, Outbound Transportation who'll be tasked with helping us control our transportation costs. As part of your role, you'll be collaborating with management and the business unit responsible for outbound transportation across our North American operations.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Performance Analysis:

  • Support the analysis of transportation performance by comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts.

  • Identify variances in transportation costs and operational metrics and help prepare explanations for management.

  • Prepare financial and operational reports.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Prepare and maintain transportation budgets and forecasts.

  • Gather, organize, and analyze historical and current data to support planning activities.

  • Help track transportation expenses and monitor forecast accuracy.

Reporting and Data Analysis:

  • Support the collection, validation, and analysis of financial and operational data.

  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide visibility into transportation performance.

  • Assist in identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Process improvement:

  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving reporting processes and data quality.

  • Support the implementation of tools and systems used for financial and operational analysis.

  • Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and streamline workflows.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • The ideal candidate for this role will have a natural aptitude for data analysis, an understanding of finance, be a team player and have good communication skills.

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or accounting and up to two (2) years of relevant experience in finance and business support (FP&A).

  • Curiosity, the willingness to make a difference and the desire for continuous improvement by seeking references and best practices.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both official languages.

  • Knowledge of database structures and advanced query tools (Snowflake platform, AI, ETL tools such as Knime and Power BI) are a nice-to-have.

  • A proven ability to learn and use different information systems (e.g. SAP, TM1, TMS, etc.).

  • Knowledge of the transportation industry is an asset.
