Senior Director, Sanctions Screening Analytics

A career as a Senior Director, Screening Analytics within the AML/ATF Risk Management - Models, Technology and Transformation team at National Bank means playing a strategic leadership role in the transformation of both the team and the sector. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of experts while advancing analytics and model governance practices. You will act as a trusted partner to process owners, business domain leaders, IT delivery teams, and business partners to ensure alignment of model practices and transform processes to maximize the value of analytics.

Your Role

• Lead, develop, and support a team of experts by fostering collaboration, engagement, skills development, and excellence in practices.
• Oversee screening models and activities, as well as team capacity and performance, while ensuring the quality of deliverables and achievement of strategic objectives.
• Act as a strategic partner to business leaders by identifying opportunities for transformation, automation, and simplification that contribute to operational excellence.
• Ensure the governance and ongoing evolution of practices surrounding screening model processes by establishing methodologies, maintaining high-quality standards, and promoting the adoption of best practices.
• Lead change management initiatives by engaging stakeholders, facilitating the adoption of new ways of working, and ensuring the realization of the expected benefits of transformation efforts.

Your Team
Within the Compliance sector, you will be part of a team of approximately 20 colleagues and report to the Senior Director, AML/ATF Risk Management. Our team stands out for its expertise, collaborative spirit, creativity, and passion for combating money laundering.

Prerequisites

• University degree in a related field and significant experience managing teams or programs in a transformational environment.
• Knowledge of screening activities related to international sanctions or a related field within risk management and compliance.
• Experience in model governance, analytics, or modeling.
• Experience leading end-to-end business process transformation and optimization initiatives.
• Experience managing change and deploying large-scale strategic initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills combined with strategic vision and excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication abilities.
