Agriculture Assistant

Our client, an organization dedicated to advancing agricultural practices, is seeking an Agriculture Assistant to join their team. As an Agriculture Assistant, you will be part of the Scientific department supporting field and laboratory testing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Agriculture Assistant

Location: Leamington, ON

Pay Range: $20.00 per hour

Shift: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM / Includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch. Workers will be on-call Monday through Friday and typically scheduled for a couple days per week.

What's the Job?

• Prepare fruit samples for laboratory and field-based testing procedures.
• Collect and accurately record data related to agricultural samples and testing results.
• Perform laboratory tests to support agricultural research and development activities.
• Assist in the maintenance and organization of testing equipment and materials.
• Support team efforts during the harvest season to ensure smooth operations.

What's Needed?

• Educational background with core studies in Biology, Chemistry, or Agriculture.
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently without supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and reporting.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
• Physical strength and stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in an agricultural setting.
