Technical Documentation Assistant
Manage technical documentation activities, including the preparation of submittals, O&M manuals, and other project-related documents, while maintaining an accurate and up-to-date technical library. Support the implementation and continuous improvement of automated documentation systems and ERP/MRP solutions, assisting with system administration and user support. Oversee the company's IT systems and serve as the primary liaison with external IT service providers to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable operations.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare the submittal and Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals in time as requested by project management.
- Support Project Management by providing technical documents as required.
- Maintain, organize, and regularly update the company's technical document library to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and compliance with company standards.
- Support the administration and optimization of the company's ERP/MRP systems under the guidance of management.
- Provide system oversight, user support, and troubleshooting assistance related to ERP/MRP and document management systems.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Experience preparing and managing technical documentation, including submittals, O&M manuals, and project documentation.
- Experience supporting ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of document control, records management, and documentation best practices.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
- Ability to quickly understand complex products, systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate issues and implement effective solutions.
