Real Estate Investment Analyst

About the Role
AIMCo is seeking a Real Estate Investment Analyst to support the acquisition, management, and performance of commercial real estate investments. In this role, you'll perform financial analysis, conduct market research, assist with due diligence, and monitor portfolio performance to help identify investment opportunities and drive long-term value.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze commercial real estate investment opportunities across office, industrial, retail, multifamily, and alternative asset sectors.
Build and maintain financial models, including DCF, IRR, NPV, and sensitivity analyses.
Conduct market and economic research to support investment decisions.
Assist with due diligence for acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
Evaluate investment risks and prepare recommendations for senior investment professionals.
Monitor portfolio performance and prepare investment reports and presentations.
Review leases, operating statements, appraisals, and valuation reports.
Collaborate with asset managers, brokers, legal advisors, lenders, and external consultants.
Present research findings and investment insights to internal stakeholders.
Maintain accurate financial models, investment databases, and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
1 3 years of experience in real estate investment, commercial real estate, private equity, investment banking, or financial analysis.
Strong knowledge of financial modeling and real estate valuation techniques.
Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CPA, or ARGUS Enterprise Certification is considered an asset.
Understanding of commercial real estate markets and investment strategies.
