Our client, a leading logistics and shipping organization, is seeking a Heavy General Labour to join their team. As a Heavy General Labour, you will be part of the warehouse operations team supporting freight handling and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and a quick learning ability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Heavy General Labour

Location: Mount Hope, ON

Pay Range: $18/hr

Shift: AM DOCK SORTER, Monday-Friday 2:00AM - 8:00AM

What's the Job?

• Efficiently load and unload freight from 53-ft trailers, ensuring safe handling and proper organization
• Transfer freight seamlessly between curbside trucks and conveyor systems, maintaining accuracy and timeliness
• Unload freight from conveyors or chutes to facilitate smooth load-out procedures
• Identify and resolve mis-sorted freight to uphold processing accuracy and minimize errors
• Maintain a clean and organized dock area, completing end-of-shift cleaning tasks and reporting operational concerns

What's Needed?

• The ability to lift up to 70 lbs freight from trailers consistently throughout the shift
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to pass a criminal record check
• Flexibility to work additional hours or overtime as required
• Team player mindset with adaptability to working nights
