Ultrasound Technologist / Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Turnbull Diagnostic Imaging is looking for an Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing team.

The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, flexible, and willing to take on special projects as the need arises. We are a multi-specialty clinic providing a wide variety of health care to patients of the city of Peterborough and the surrounding area. Our team of medical and surgical specialists, family physicians, and interprofessional healthcare providers are committed to providing quality patient care. The successful candidate will be working Monday through Friday in Peterborough.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work with patients independently
Perform general routine radiographic examinations
Computer skills, knowledge of PACs and RIS
Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, staff and physicians
Demonstrates an understanding of ethical behaviors and confidentiality requirements in a health care institution
Assesses and prioritizes workload

Education & Experience

Graduate from an accredited Canadian ultrasound program strongly preferred. Other equivalent education will be considered.
Current member with CMRITO
Sonography Canada credentialed is preferred; ARDMS an asset
CRVS and/or RVT designations are an asset as are any additional designations, ARDSM (BR), (PS), (RMSKS), NT certification is an asset
