Forklift Operator

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse operations supporting logistics and supply chain functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Port Colborne, ON

Pay Range: 20.35

Shift: Continental shift rotation Day & Night (7 to 7)

What's the Job?

• Safely operate sit-down counterbalance forklifts to stack, load, and transport bulk materials.
• Load and unload delivery trucks and rail cars, ensuring timely supply of raw materials to production lines.
• Prepare goods for transport by shrink-wrapping and palletizing, and accurately track stock movement using RF scanning systems.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections, follow safety and environmental protocols, and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment.
• Report product damage, shortages, or equipment malfunctions promptly to supervisors to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.

What's Needed?

• Previous experience with forklift operation and shipping duties
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Current forklift certification is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Commitment to following safety protocols and standards.
• Solid communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
